We are pleased to announce the University of North Texas Child Development Lab Renovation project was selected as a finalist. The Harry H. Mellon Award of Excellence in Job Order Contracting is the industry’s highest honor, and is a way for facility owners, managers and contractors to be rewarded for their hard work and recognized by their peers and others in the industry.
Named for the inventor of Job Order Contracting, the Harry H. Mellon Award of Excellence in Job Order Contracting is the industry’s highest honor. Repair, alteration and maintenance work—the core of the Job Order Contracting system—is essential for the safe and efficient use of buildings and infrastructure. While essential, this work is often not glamorous. This award recognizes the facility owners, managers and contractors who perform this important function in an efficient and cost effective way.
Though there is only one project recognized as the Harry H. Mellon Award of Excellence in Job Order Contracting, there are always many other outstanding nominations. Projects using Job Order Contracting, as well as indefinite quantity construction (IQC) contracts available through cooperative purchasing programs may be recognized as one of the five Awards of Merit in Job Order Contracting.
